Kresloff Eye Associates

We designed the Kresloff Eye Associates building to accommodate the relocation of their long-standing practice from an office suite into a stand-alone building. The move provides increased visibility along the busy Haddon Avenue commercial corridor while adding capacity to their optical selection and services. Working closely with Dr. Kresloff, we fine tuned the patient flow throughout the space to maximize the building without adding on to it. Ten exam rooms, multiple technical areas, support offices, optical lab, and an open lobby and optical department that spans the front of the building. Multiple additions over the course of decades left the existing interior feeling separated and disjointed, so our challenge was to open up as many of the walls (including three long bearing walls) to unify the building to the greatest extent possible. Adding exterior windows to the front and side facades not only bring in natural light, but provide the visual awareness of the optical services that are provided within. We painted the exterior brick, raised the roof over the main entrance and added metal panels, removed many overgrown plantings and trees, to open up the site and highlight the building. We are excited with the results and the fully renovated building has a light and bright feel along Haddon Avenue.
